Oahu – Mānoa

Driving Instructions from Honolulu airport to the IfA:

Take Interstate Route H-1 east (toward Honolulu) to the Punahou Street exit. At the exit stoplight, turn left onto Punahou Street. Continue up Punahou Street through the traffic light at Nehoa Street, after which Punahou Street becomes Mānoa Road. Get into the right lane and continue through another light at Lanihuli Drive. After this light, take the right fork. You will now be on East Mānoa Road. Continue on East Mānoa Road, cross O‘ahu Avenue (a continuation of University Avenue), and make the next right at Kolowalu Street. Kolowalu Street becomes Woodlawn Drive.

The Institute’s address is 2680 Woodlawn Drive. Our modern-style, two-story buildings are on the left side, just after the UH Press buildings and across the street from Noelani Elementary School. There is a grassy lawn and sign out front. If you have any questions, please call us at (808) 956-8566.

Parking: Visiting scientists needing parking should consult with their hosts prior to arrival to obtain a parking pass. There is free street parking, but you may have to walk several blocks.
